This is an exceptionally well cut Red Spinel. Most Red Spinels are native cut with a cushion shape and a very deep crown and pavilion. This Spinel was re-cut as a radiant to better show off its beauty and color. The gem's clarity is also excellent.

	Measurements:	7.66 millimeters by 5.87 mm by 5.35 mm

	Cut Style:	Modified radiant cut

	Color:	Highly saturated red hue.

	Cost:	This radiant-cut Red Spinel has sold.

	Treatments:	Red Spinels are not known to be treated. We believe this striking Red Spinel is completely natural.

Designer Notes:

This striking Red Spinel would look great as the focal point of a ring, pendant or brooch.
If you custom create a ring for this gem, it would be beautiful set with two trilliant diamonds or perhaps a cluster of three diamonds on each side. For a pendant, a platinum or gold bezel surrounding the Spinel accented with round diamonds would be classy and elegant. When you custom create a jewel the possibilities are endless.
