Spessartite Garnet and Tourmaline Ring

The center stone is a vibrant orange Spessartite Garnet.  Two trillium yellow Tourmalines grace the sides of the orange Garnet creating a subtle gradation of Indian Summer hues.  The ring is hand crafted in 18kt yellow gold.

The top of the ring is sculpted and tapered to follow the shape of the Garnet and Tourmalines.  Past the outer points of the Tourmalines the band forms a gentle bevel that flows down the shoulders of the ring.

The gold surfaces of the ring shimmer with a rich satin finish.  The sparkling brilliance of the gemstones and the elegant texture of the gold perfectly complement each other.

The gemstones are burnish set with the Garnet slightly above the Tourmalines.  By neatly nestling the Tourmalines beneath the Garnet,  we created a dramatic trilogy of gemstones across the top of the ring.  The gemstones glow like burning embers in the setting autumn sun.

Viewing the ring from the side you can see the care taken in designing and crafting the jewel.  Note the sturdy, rounded edges of the setting that protect the burnish-set gemstones.  The thickness of the band throughout its circumference also helps protect the gemstones and helps ensure that the ring will last a lifetime.
