Lapis Lazuli Stickpin
| Brilliant blue lapis lazuli with small, golden accents is
set beneath flowing Art Nouveau curves and Classical laurel
wreath borders. A wonderful example of the elegant,
imaginative jewels created by Hans Brassler at the beginning of
the 20th century. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1910.
Hans Brassler was an innovative jewelry designer during the early 20th century. He often wedded elements of Art Nouveau, Art Deco and classical design to create wonderfully imaginative stickpins and other jewels.
This stickpin is beautifully crafted with a sturdy gold pin stem to protect the lapis and secure the jewel on a lapel or scarf. The maker's mark of The Brassler Company, a double oval enclosing "14" followed by a "B", is stamped on the lower reverse behind the pin stem.
