Dramatic Elk Cufflinks

Elk!

A seven-point elk crashes through the front of these intriguing, wonderfully sculpted cufflinks.  From the late Victorian era or early 1900s, these dramatic cufflinks were likely owned by a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.  Beautifully crafted in 10kt gold, circa 1900.

The backs of the cufflinks are well constructed with sturdy "Y" bridges connecting the fronts to the bean backs.  The backs of these cufflinks are almost as interesting and beautiful as the fronts.

One of the bridges is marked "10" for the purity of the gold and stamped with an obscured maker's mark.  At the turn of the last century there were a number of makers of fine fraternal cufflinks and related accessories.
