Golden Ovals II
Striking antique cufflinks with concentric oval centers surrounded by repeated chevron borders.  The effect is hypnotic.  The edges of the cufflinks are milgrained for an added touch of elegance.  Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1920.

The backs of the cufflinks are as beautifully crafted as the fronts and polished to a mirror-like finish.  Note the sturdy cross bars and double-ribbed brackets that secure the links.

Each cross bar is stamped with a precious metal mark ("14").  Although there is no maker's mark,  the brackets and cross bars are similar to those found on cufflinks created by R. Blackinton & Co.  Also note the sturdy thickness of the tops.
