Pysanky - the ancient Ukrainian art of painting on egg shells
Our client wanted a truly special ring for his fiancée. Her family was Ukrainian, so he asked us to create a ring inspired by the traditional designs of Ukrainian egg painting.
 The ring is hand crafted in platinum and the outer surfaces intricately hand engraved with diamond shapes and eight-ray stars - traditional Pysanky motifs. Sparkling round diamonds are set at the center of three of the diamond shapes; the remaining diamond shapes feature radiant starbursts. |
 Much like a sculptor, our engraver used a technique called "relief engraving" to remove small particles of platinum and create the intricate design. The background was then darkened to throw the engraved design into high relief. The thickness of the band and the depth of the engraving assure that this ring will be enjoyed for many years and passed from generation to generation.
 Each of our custom rings is special and signed with Bijoux Extraordinaire's registered hallmark, "BEL". The purity of the precious metals is also indicated, in this case "PLAT" for platinum. These marks are your assurance of imaginative design, uncompromising craftsmanship and quality materials.
