| A beautiful sapphire accented by two sparkling
trilliant cut diamonds is featured in this handcrafted platinum
ring. The sapphire is a rich intoxicating blue. The
two trilliant diamonds were meticulously matched to create just
the right sparkle.
When you examine a three-stone ring you should pay close attention to the setting of the gemstones. The gemstones should be set close together so that there are no unsightly gaps or discontinuities. You want the gems to flow across the top of your finger in a dazzling array of color and scintillation.  We set the trilliant diamonds slightly below the sapphire and angled the outer points of the diamonds downward. This allows the sapphire and diamonds to follow the natural curve of your finger. Sometimes three-stone rings are made with all the gemstones set at the same level. This is a Bijoux "No no!" It gives the ring a flat boxy appearance .... not something we want to see in a Bijoux ring. We crafted the outer prongs of the trilliant diamonds as a simple bead that rises up from the tapered shoulders of the ring. This continues the elegant flow of the sparkling gemstones into the cool platinum. |
 Viewing the ring from the side, you can see the symmetry of the design and the care with which it was hand crafted. Note the sturdiness of the prongs and the thickness of the band throughout its circumference. All signs of a master craftsman who took great care and pride in his work.  A truly fine jewel will be as well made and beautifully finished on the underside as it is on the top. Note the sturdiness and symmetry of the settings. This style of setting is known as a "double rung basket." It creates an open, delicate appearance, while securely holding and protecting the gemstones.  As with all the jewels we create, this ring displays the Bijoux Extraordinaire registered hallmark ("BEL"). The precious metal mark ("PT 950") for the platinum is stamped on the opposite side of the band. These hallmarks are your assurance of beautiful design and superior craftsmanship.  |

| This ring is hand crafted in platinum. The oval sapphire weighs 1.65 carats and measures approximately 7.4 by 6.1 millimeters. The two trilliant diamonds weigh a total of 0.19 carats. The diamonds are D color and VS clarity. The ring is a finger size 6 1/2, but can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
