The heart of this hand-engraved ring is a beautiful
concave-faceted Amethyst. The striking gemstone was
fashioned by a master gem cutter. He expertly curved and
cupped each of the lower facets of the Amethyst to create a gem
with extraordinary brilliance and beautiful purple color. The design of this ring was inspired by the Amethyst center stone. Among the ancient Greeks, Amethysts were believed to protect one from inebriation. In fact, the word "amethyst" comes from the Greek words for "without" ("a") and "alcohol" ("methysto").  The ring is hand crafted in platinum. Along the surfaces of the ring and the bezel setting we hand engraved a flowing vine-like pattern. Five small round brilliant-cut diamonds are set between the swirling scrolls.  On the reverse of the bezel setting we engraved with a bursting cluster of grapes and leaves. Would you expect anything less from a handcrafted ring named "Grape Expectations"?  The inside of the ring is beautifully crafted. Note the sturdy, thick walls of the bezel setting that holds the Amethyst. The edges are crisp and the inner surfaces polished to a beautiful mirror-like finish.  All of our rings are stamped with our registered Hallmark ("BEL") and the quality of the precious metals ("PLAT" for platinum). These marks are your assurance of exceptional craftsmanship and beautiful design.  |
