Hand Engraved Laurel and Rose Band |

A gentleman wanted to create a truly special ring for his wife. Their daughter's name is Laurel Rose and her birthstone is sapphire. So, we designed a platinum band with engraved laurel flowers and a rosebud. Across the top of the band we channel set five sapphires. Since the mother and daughter share a passion for purple, we naturally selected five Fancy Violet Sapphires.
 Laurel flowers with entwined stems sweep up the shoulders of the band towards the Violet Sapphires. Along the sides of the ring we engraved a repeating leaf pattern called "Falling Leaves". A delicate rosebud is engraved on the base of the handcrafted ring. |
 The ring was engraved using a technique known as "relief engraving." Our engraver, much like a sculptor, patiently removed small particles of platinum to create the intricate floral designs. He then darkened the background to throw the design into high relief.
 This inside view shows the thickness of the band and the partitioned channel securely holding the five sapphires. This band was crafted to be enjoyed for many years and shared with future generations.
 The inside of the band is signed with Bijoux Extraordinaire's registered hallmark, "BEL". The band is also marked for the precious metal platinum, "PLAT". These marks are your assurance of uncompromising craftsmanship, imaginative design and exceptional quality.
