Purple Sapphire and Diamonds

A gorgeous purple sapphire with a hint of plum
accented with two striking tapered baguette diamonds in a custom
platinum ring. The bold color of the sapphire and
streamlined geometry of the baguette diamonds beautifully
capture the cool elegance of the Art Deco era. The cushion-shape Sapphire weighs just over 2 1/2 carats. The Sapphire is set with four platinum prongs in a handcrafted double-rung setting. Along the shoulders of the ring, the baguette diamonds rest in carved recesses and are secured with bar settings at each end.  The platinum settings and band of the ring are gently rounded and polished to a mirror-like finish. The rich blue of the Sapphire, sparkle of the diamonds and cool brilliance of the platinum perfectly complement each other.  From the side, you can see the slightly raised shoulders of the ring and the thickness of the band as it tapers gently towards the base. The sturdiness of the settings and the band help protect the gemstones and ensure the lasting beauty of the ring. We craft our rings to last not just one lifetime, but several.  From the underside you can see the care taken in crafting the ring. The underside of the ring is beautifully polished with crisp and symmetrical windows beneath each gemstone. The sign of a true master craftsman is the care taken with even the small, hidden parts of a jewel. | This ring is handcrafted in platinum. The cushion-cut Sapphire weighs 2.53 carats. The two tapered baguette diamonds weigh a total of 0.70 carats. The diamonds are D color and VS1 clarity. The ring is finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
