Lavender and Lilacs |
Lavender and lilac are light shades of purple that
beautifully complement the coolness of platinum. This
elegantly designed ring is hand-engraved and features a crisp
lavender spinel and ten princess-cut lilac sapphires channel-set
along the shoulders. The striking spinel is a unique cut - a dodecahedron shape with a rose-cut crown. Just in case you have forgotten your geometry or Greek, a dodecahedron is a twelve-sided figure.  The flat surfaces of the ring are hand-engraved in a stylized wheat pattern and the edges are milgrained for an added touch of elegance. We call this style of engraved ring "Regal Elegance." We work with some of the finest hand engravers in the country. Each is a master of the art and works in a unique style. The engraver of this ring created a wonderful pattern that flows out from the spinel and around the circumference of the band.  The Lavender Spinel is set with French double-prongs. The prongs taper gracefully from top to base for an elegant look. The upper gallery of the setting is neatly engraved with a cluster of wheat sheaves. The ring's band is thick and sturdy through out its circumference ensuring a lifetime of wear and enjoyment. This ring is a family heirloom in the making.

 Examining the inside of the ring you can see the care with which it was crafted. The band is thick and sturdy offering protection to the gemstones and the engraved sides of the ring. The ring is symmetrical and the inner surfaces smooth and even. Beneath the gemstones are small windows known as "á jouré". The sign of a true master craftsman is the attention paid to the small details and hidden elements of a jewel. |

 As with all the jewels we create, this ring displays Bijoux Extraordinaire's registered hallmark ("BEL"). The precious metal mark for platinum ("PLAT") is stamped on the opposite inside wall of the band. These hallmarks are your assurance of exceptional design, craftsmanship and beauty.  |

| The Lavender Spinel weighs 2.54 carats. The ten princess-cut Lilac Sapphires weigh a total of 0.30 carats. The band is just under 5 millimeters wide and is a finger size 6 1/2. | ||
