Rose Gold Ring with Rhodolite Garnet

| A dramatic, simple design featuring a
Princess-cut Rhodolite Garnet set in a handcrafted rose gold
ring. The Rhodolite Garnet is bezel set on the diagonal
atop a smooth rose gold band with a brightly polished
finish. We call this design Polaris because it
reminds us of the North Star, shining brightly at the end of the
handle of the Little Dipper and close to the north celestial
pole.
We chose 18kt rose gold for this ring to complement the purplish-Red hue of the Rhodolite Garnet. Copper alloys blended with pure yellow gold create a warm, pinkish or rosey hue which is beautiful when combined with pinkish and purplish colored gemstones. 
 This end view really captures the dramatic lines of the bezel walls contrasting with the flared upper rim of the collar around the circumference of the Rhodolite. The rose gold band of the ring is rounded to create a noticeably domed effect but with a narrower width.  The walls of the bezel setting are thick and sturdy, protecting the Rhodolite while at the same time presenting a powerful tapered profile from top to bottom. The band of the ring is also thick and gently tapers towards its base, creating a comfortable fit. Like all Bijoux Extraordinaire jewels, this ring was made to last a lifetime.  The underside of the ring has an exceptional polish and beautifully finished edges. At Bijoux Extraordinaire we believe that a fine ring should be finished as nicely on the underside as it is on the top.
