Sapphire and Diamond Platinum Ring

A beautiful cushion-cut Sapphire accented by
two sparkling trilliant diamonds set in a handcrafted platinum
ring. The Sapphire is a rich intoxicating blue that is
perfectly complemented by the fiery sparkle of the diamonds. When creating a beautiful three-stone ring it is important to set the gemstones at just the right heights and relative angles. By hand crafting our rings we are able to set the gemstones so that they flow across the top of your finger in a dazzling display of color and sparkle. The extra care and time taken is reflected in the beauty and dazzle of the finished jewel. |
 The Sapphire is securely set with four tapered prongs in a double-rung setting. We slightly tapered the tops of the prongs to be a little different. The trilliant diamonds are set with three prongs. The outer prong flows out of the rising shoulders of the ring. We always take the time to adapt each design and add small details to complement the gemstones.  Viewing the ring from the side, you can further see the careful placement of the Sapphire and diamonds. Note the symmetry of the design and sturdiness of the settings. The band is sturdy throughout its circumference and gently tapers towards the base of the ring. All signs of a master platinum smith who took great care and pride in his work.  You should always carefully examine the underside of a fine jewel. Here you can see the sturdy under-gallery beneath the gemstones, the smoothly polished inner surfaces, and the crisp, even edges. Beneath each gemstone we carved small windows that follow the shape of the gemstones. It is in the small, hidden details of a jewel that the true quality of the design and craftsmanship can be seen.  As with all the jewels we create, this ring displays the Bijoux Extraordinaire registered hallmark ("BEL") and a precious metal stamp ("PT950") for the purity of the platinum. | This ring is hand crafted in platinum. The cushion Sapphire weighs 1.68 carats and measures approximately 8.0 by 6.0 millimeters. The two trilliant diamonds weigh a total of 0.27 carats. The diamonds are D color and VS1 clarity. The ring is finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
