![]() Sapphire and Rose-cut Diamond Ring |
![]() Sapphire Halo!
![]() The Sapphire is from Sri Lanka (formerly Ceylon) and weighs 0.93 carats. It is set in a bezel setting that rises slightly above the circle of Rose-cut Diamonds. We milgrained the edges of the settings to complement the sparkle of the Diamonds.
![]() Sixteen Rose-cut Diamonds are set around the center Sapphire. The glitter and sparkle continues with fourteen additional Diamonds (seven on each side) bead set along the shoulders of the ring. The Diamonds cascade from the center setting like an adamantine waterfall.
![]() The ring was designed and crafted to showcase and protect the gemstones. Note the thickness of the platinum band and the sturdy bezel that surrounds the Sapphire. Beneath the circle of Diamonds we opened the gallery with a series of half-moon and triangular windows. It is the small details that create a jewel of lasting beauty.
![]() Viewing the underside of the ring you can see the beautifully polished platinum surfaces and the miniature windows, known as "á jouré," opened beneath each Diamond. The care and artistry of the craftsmanship are important elements in creating an exceptional ring.
![]() The inside of the band is marked with our registered hallmark ("BEL") and the precious metal mark for platinum ("PLAT"). All fine jewels should be hallmarked by the maker and stamped with the purity of the precious metals. These marks are your assurance of exceptional design, craftsmanship and beauty.
