A rich purple amethyst, six beautifully matched seed pearls, and flowing scroll work give this pin a look of striking elegance. Crafted in 14kt gold, this Art Nouveau jewel was created around 1900.

By examining the rear of the pin you can see its sturdy construction, the solidness of the scroll work, and how the bezel securely holds the amethyst. Also note the "C" clasp and the chatelaine hook from which a drop pendant or small watch would have been suspended.
