![]() The clasp and the lower leaf are marked "14K". To the left of the gold mark on the leaf there appears to be an indistinct maker's mark. It may be a flaming torch lying on its side - the maker's mark of Bippart, Griscom and Osborn, a fine jewelry firm based in Newark, New Jersey at the turn of the last century. Although the mark cannot be clearly identified...."would not this iris brooch, by any other maker, be as sweet!"
