Art Deco Diamond Cufflinks
|Mesmerizing cufflinks with finely engraved
centers and richly detailed borders. The intricate,
maze-like level of detail is a striking example of the jazzy
geometric style of the Art Deco era. A small diamond is
set on one side to add a touch of sparkling elegance.
Created by Lebrecht Fritzsche in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are well crafted and polished to a mirror-like finish. Please excuse the shadowy reflections from my camera. Sturdy brackets and crossbars secure these cufflinks on the cuff.
The cross bars are stamped with a gold purity mark ("14K") and the maker's mark of L. Fritzsche & Company (an "F" inside an banner-shape cartouche). Lebrecht Fritzsche was a maker of fine cufflinks and other items during the early decades of the 20th century.
