Emerald-Cut Sapphire and Diamond Ring

| We wanted to create a ring that would sizzle
with the bold geometry and striking colors of the Art Deco
era. So we selected a beautiful blue emerald-cut sapphire
weighing 2.9 carats and accented it with two cool white
diamonds.
We then set the gemstones in a hand crafted platinum ring. The sapphire is securely held by four platinum prongs. The two diamonds, also emerald cuts, are channel set in half-bezels. The sapphire is set slightly above the diamonds to create an elegant cascade of sparkling gemstones.
 The band of the ring has a flat edge that is a little narrower than the emerald-cut diamonds, continuing the cascading effect. Each gem was selected to complement the proportions and brilliance of the others. The platinum surfaces are polished to a mirror-like finish.
 The width of the band is consistent throughout its circumference, adding to the strong geometric lines of the ring. From the side you can see the tiered, cascading arrangement of the gemstones. The setting is like a miniature masterpiece of Art Deco architecture. Also note the thickness of the ring's band. This ring was designed and crafted to wear comfortably and last for many generations. |
 "Looking under the hood" you can see that the beautiful design and finish are carried to the underside of the ring. Note the cut-out beneath the gemstones and the symmetrical, smooth edges. Our philosophy is that a fine jewel should be as nicely crafted on the underside as it is on the top. | This striking ring is handcrafted in platinum. The emerald-cut sapphire weighs 2.90 carats and measures approximately 8.0 by 6.5 millimeters. The two emerald-cut diamonds weigh a total of 0.87 carats. The diamonds are F color and VS1-2 clarity. The ring is a finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
