Hans Brassler Jade Stickpin

Hans Brassler Art Nouveau jade stickpin. (SP9588)

Art Nouveau Jade

Sinuous Art Nouveau curves cradle a triangle of rich, verdant jade.  This artistically striking stickpin was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold circa 1910.

The stickpin is finely crafted with flowing curves and dramatic, crisp turns.  On the back, a sturdy 14kt gold pin stem secures the jewel when worn.  The maker's mark of Hans Brassler ("14B" surrounded by a double oval) is stamped on the lower reverse behind the pin stem (see below).
Cost:  $625

Measurements:  This 14kt gold stickpin is just under 2 9/16" long and weighs 3.2 grams.  The jade top is  3/4" wide by 5/8" tall.

Hans Brassler was a uniquely original jewelry designer and goldsmith who in the early 1900s created a collection of strikingly imaginative stickpins and other fine jewels.  Other examples of his work can be found in the Antique Stickpin and Antique Brooch galleries.
