Onyx and Pearl Dress SetOnyx and Pearl II |
The dramatic elegance of onyx and pearl.
This striking dress set features black onyx centers with small
pearls surrounded by richly chased white gold borders.
Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1920. Complementing the cufflinks are three shirt studs. Like the cufflinks, the studs are crafted in 14kt gold with onyx and pearl centers surrounded by white gold borders. As with all fine jewels, you should examine cufflinks closely from every direction. The backs of these cufflinks and studs are crafted in 14kt yellow gold. Note the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure the links on the cuff. Please excuse the reflections from our camera.
This dress set was crafted by the jewelry firm Carter, Gough & Company, makers of fine gold and platinum jewelry during the first decades of the last century. The maker's mark for Carter, Gough - a small arrowhead surrounding the letter "C" - is visible on the reverse of the cufflinks and shirt studs. To the left of the maker's mark is the precious metal mark for the purity of the gold ("14K"). Name: Onyx and Pearl II |
