Lavender Sapphire and Baguettes
|
Lavender Lumiere |
A luscious Lavender Sapphire accented with tapered
baguette diamonds in a handcrafted platinum ring. The
luminous color of the emerald-cut Sapphire is the perfect
complement to the cool elegance of the platinum and diamonds. |
The Lavender Sapphire is securely held by four platinum prongs in a double rung setting. On the side, two pairs of baguette diamonds are set in classic bar settings reminiscent of the Art Deco era.
Setting long, narrow baguette diamonds can be a challenge. You want to showcase the elegant beauty and optics of the stones and make sure the diamonds are secure and well protected. Our favorite solution is to set the diamonds slightly recessed in the shoulders of the ring with each end secured by sturdy bar settings. The beauty of the diamonds is seen and the stones are well protected.
From the side, you can see the slightly raised shoulders of the ring and the thickness of the band as it tapers gently towards the base. The sturdiness of the band helps protect the gemstones and ensures lasting beauty. |
|
Inside the ring you can see the nicely crafted under-gallery beneath the Sapphire. Also note the smooth, symmetrical cut-outs beneath the tapered baguette diamonds. The care taken with the small, hidden details of a jewel is the sign of a true master craftsman. |
|
All of our rings proudly display Bijoux Extraordinaire's registered hallmark ("BEL") and the purity of the precious metals ("PLAT"). These hallmarks are your assurance of imaginative design, uncompromising craftsmanship, and beautiful gemstones.
