Pink Diamonds have long been a favorite of ours at Bijoux Extraordinaire.  And since the engagement of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez,  we are making more beautiful rings featuring Pink Diamonds.  But you don't have to spend 1.5 million dollars to own a beautiful pink diamond.

The ring shown here features a Fancy Light Pink round brilliant diamond set in an 18kt rose gold half bezel.  Accenting the pink diamond are two round colorless diamonds set in white gold full bezel.  A simple design emphasizing the blushing color of this rare gem!

The ring is made in 18kt two-tone gold ... rose or pink gold for the pink diamond and white gold for the colorless diamonds.  The ring has a flat edge band with slightly rounded corners to soften the look.

The bezel walls are solid and offer superior protection for the three diamonds.  Also note the thickness of the ring's band,  assuring many years of wear and enjoyment.

Did you know that Fancy Color Diamonds are rarer than colorless diamonds?  The causes of fancy colors in diamonds varies.  Diamonds without any elemental impurities are colorless ... they are made up of only carbon molecules.  Yellow and Champagne colored diamonds are the result of Nitrogen atoms trapped within the molecular structure of a diamond,  while Natural Blue diamonds are caused by the element Boron trapped within the crystal lattice.  Pink diamonds are thought to be caused by a shift or distortion in the crystalline structure.

Measurements:
The center round diamond weighs 1.01 carats and measures 6.3 mm.  It has a GIA report stating that its color is Natural Fancy Very Light Pink.  The clarity grade is SI2.  The two round side diamonds weigh a total of 0.36 carat.
