Plum Stardust Set in a platinum bezel the Star Sapphire floats above a double row of pavé set diamonds, like the rings of Saturn. The rich color of the Sapphire is beautifully complemented by the dazzling brilliance of the diamonds.  The pavé set diamonds continue along the shoulders of the band. In all, 137 small diamonds are meticulously set in this ring. The result is a glittering, scintillating, magical effect. The lower half of the Star Sapphire is set within an 18kt rose gold "cup" that protects the gemstone and complements its rare color.  Although delicate in appearance, the ring was carefully crafted. Note the thickness of the platinum band and the depth of the bezel surrounding the Sapphire. These small details provide a sturdy base for the pavé set diamonds and create a ring of lasting beauty.  The ring also looks good on the hand. The Star Sapphire is a rich reddish purple that is reminiscent of a fresh plum recently picked in the garden. In some photographs the Sapphire appears redder than its true purple color. This photo of the ring on the hand is an accurate rendition of the plum hue featured in this celestial gem.  On the underside you can see the beautifully polished platinum surfaces and the way in which the band flows seamlessly into the satin finish rose gold "cup." An important element in creating an exceptional jewel is the care and artistry of the craftsmanship.  The inside of the band is marked with our registered hallmark ("BEL") and the precious metal mark for platinum. All fine jewels should be hallmarked by the maker and stamped with the precious metals. These marks are your assurance of exceptional design, craftsmanship and beauty.  |

| This ring is crafted in platinum and 18kt rose gold. The Star Sapphire weighs 6.02 carats and is approximately 8.5 millimeters in diameter. There are 137 pavé-set diamonds that weigh a total of 0.93 carats. The ring is finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
