Inspired by the classic engagement rings of the 1930s and
1940s, this ring features a radiant-cut pink spinel
accented with four tapered baguette diamonds. The ring is
hand crafted in platinum. |
| The spinel is a stunning, pastel shade of pink that adds to the antique feel of the ring. The gemstone weighs just over 1.5 carats and is set with four platinum prongs. The baguette diamonds are set as pairs along the shoulders of the ring creating a streamlined cascades of brilliance.  Setting long, narrow baguette diamonds can be a challenge. You want to showcase the elegant shape and optics of the stones, but you also want them to be secure and well protected. The traditional solution is to slightly recess the diamonds into the shoulders of the ring and to secure them with sturdy bar settings at each end. This allows the sleek elegance of the diamonds to be seen, while offering ample protection.  From the side, you can see the slightly raised shoulders of the ring and the thickness of the band as it tapers towards the base. The thickness of the band helps protect the gemstones and ensures lasting beauty. | The radiant-cut Spinel measures 6.2 x 5.5 millimeters and weighs 1.58 carats. The four tapered baguette diamonds weigh a total of 0.30 carats. They are E-F color and VVS clarity. The ring is finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
