The blue sapphire, sparkling diamonds and rich yellow gold create an elegant ring that is ideal for an evening out or a festive party. In fact this style of ring was originally known as a "cocktail ring". During the 1950s and early 1960s, when the cocktail party was the peak of sophisticated entertaining, the jewel of the day (or perhaps we should say the evening) was the cocktail ring. No fashionable woman would be seen without one of these bedazzling jewels on her gloved hand.
 From the side, you can see that the gemstones are set in three tiers with the diamonds angled slightly outward to create a layered, dazzling array. Also, note the thickness of the gold band throughout its circumference and the sturdiness of the prongs which hold the gemstones. |

 As with all Bijoux jewels, the inside of this ring is finished as nicely as the top. The underside is crisply finished, symmetrical and beautifully polished. |
