Each earring has a round brilliant-cut rich blue sapphire surrounded by eight sparkling brilliant-cut diamonds, all set in cool platinum. These cluster earrings are a beautiful balance of sapphire, diamonds and platinum. The layout of the gemstones is exquisite. There are no unsightly breaks between the diamonds - just a nice transition from gem to gem.
As with all our jewels the backs are finished as nicely as the sparkling tops! These back and side views show the well-crafted platinum framework supporting the gemstones. | These star-shaped earrings measure just over 3/8" from point to opposite point. The two sapphires weigh approximately 0.40 carats each for a combined weight of 0.81 carats. And the sixteen surrounding diamonds weigh a total of 0.62 carats. | ||
