Emerald-cut Sapphire Platinum Ring

The striking Sapphire is set with four tapered platinum prongs.  The prongs have angled heads that echo the cusps of the bullet-shape diamonds and the bevelled edge of the ring's band.  Our platinum smith is a talented artist who pays uncompromising attention to the fine details.

The Sapphire is an elongated emerald-cut with nicely bevelled corners.  It weighs  2.68 carats and measures 10.0 millimeters long by 5.6 millimeters wide.

The bullet-shape diamonds are set in brightly polished platinum bezels.  The outer points of the bezel settings meet the beveled shoulders of the ring as they rise up toward the gemstones.  The trick to creating an extraordinary ring is making sure that the gemstones and the design perfectly complement each other.

A fine jewel should always be closely examined from the underside.  Here you can see the sturdy under-gallery that securely holds and protects the Sapphire and diamonds.  Note that the inner surfaces are smoothly polished and the edges crisp and even.  It is in the small details that the quality of true craftsman is seen.
