Star Sapphires are wonderful gemstones that come alive
when set with diamonds and platinum. The star
effect, known as "asterism," is caused by tiny
silk-like inclusions that are trapped within the sapphire.
These inclusions reflect light entering the Sapphire and create
a six ray star. This handcrafted platinum ring features a grayish Blue Star Sapphire that weighs 1.28 carats. The Star Sapphire is accented with six brilliant diamonds channel set along the shoulders of the ring. 
The Star Sapphire is set in a sturdy platinum bezel that appears to flow from the graceful platinum band. The inside of the band is slightly flattened for a comfortable fit on your finger. This ring is beautifully designed and expertly crafted. |
 As with all Bijoux jewels, the inside of this ring is finished as nicely as the top. The underside of the bezel is crisp, symmetrical and beautifully polished. Beneath each diamond is a small hurricane-shape window known as "á jouré."  As with all the jewels we create, this ring displays the Bijoux Extraordinaire registered hallmark ("BEL"). The precious metal mark ("PLAT") for the purity of the platinum is also visible. These hallmarks are your assurance of beautiful design and superior craftsmanship. |

| This handcrafted platinum ring features a 1.28-carat blue Star Sapphire. The Star Sapphire is approximately 6.2 millimeters long by 5.4 millimeters wide. The six small diamonds weigh a total of 0.035 carats. The ring is finger size 6 1/4 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||

 It is difficult to find nice quality Star Sapphires in small sizes. Generally, natural Star Sapphires need to be at least three carats to produce a crisp star effect. When we come across a beautiful small Star Sapphire we cannot resist setting it in one of our handcrafted Tingle rings! |
