| This rich blue Sapphire sparkles as if it is illuminated from within by a thousand miniature fireworks. The beautiful Sapphire is set in a handcrafted, hand-engraved platinum ring based on our Solitaire Elegance design. |
 The mesmerizing brilliance of the Sapphire is the result of a difficult technique known as "concave faceting". A master gem cutter carefully sculpted concave depressions along the usually flat facets on the back of the Sapphire. The concave facets, although time consuming and painstaking to create, enhance the extraordinary brilliance and beauty of this gemstone.
 The Sapphire is set in a beautifully polished bezel setting. The platinum surfaces of the bezel are polished to a mirror-like finish to match the brilliance of the Sapphire. The shoulders of the ring gently sweep upward and slightly narrow, creating a cathedral-like affect as the engraved band rises up to meet the bezel-set Sapphire. The band of the ring sparkles with a classic hand-engraved chevron pattern. In the Gallery we call this style of engraving "Woodstock's feet," because the design reminds us of the tracks left in the snow by Snoopy's avian friend. For an additional touch of elegance, we milgrained the edges of the band with a fine bead-like pattern. |

Viewing the inside of the ring, you can see the care with which it was hand crafted, the beautifully polished inner surfaces and the smooth, clean edges. All signs of a master craftsman who took great pride in his work. Also note the thick, sturdy bezel walls that secure and protect the Sapphire.
As with all the jewels we create, this ring proudly displays Bijoux Extraordinaire's registered hallmark ("BEL"). To the right of our maker's mark is the precious metal stamp for the purity of the platinum ("PLAT"). These marks are your assurance of imaginative design, exceptional materials and uncompromising craftsmanship.

| The trillium concave-faceted Sapphire weighs 1.66 carats and is approximately 7.5 millimeters along each side. The ring is finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
