A tulip setting is a wonderful way to add a little pizazz to a traditional engagement ring. The prongs of the setting are shaped like the leaves of a tulip that beautifully hold a solitaire diamond.
Here we show a tulip-set ring featuring a round brilliant-cut 0.40 carat diamond. The diamond is well cut with F color and SI1 clarity. The ring is crafted in 18kt gold with a half-round yellow gold band and a white gold tulip setting.
 This side-view shows the unique design of the tulip setting. The petals of the "tulip" gracefully hold the diamond above the yellow gold band. The outside of the band is gently rounded while the inside is flattened for a comfortable fit on the wearer's finger. The band is tapered towards the rear of the ring and thickens as it rises to meet the diamond.
