Winged Serpent and Pearl Stickpin

Winged serpent stickpin with pearl. (J9027)

Winged Serpent!

A winged serpent warily clutches a small pearl.  This little fellow has a lot of charm. The perfect miniature gargoyle to keep demons and goblins from your lapel.  Beautifully crafted in 14kt gold,  circa 1900.

The reverse of the stickpin (pictured below) is as nicely crafted as the front.  The sturdy pin stem is attached to the solid back of the serpent.  The maker's mark of Whiteside & Blank, an arrow piercing a crescent, is next to the gold purity mark.  Whiteside & Blank created beautiful stickpins, cufflinks and other jewels during the late 1800s and early 1900s.

Cost:  Although this elegant stickpin has sold,  you will find many more fine stickpins in the Antique Stickpin Gallery.

Measurements:  This 14kt gold stickpin is  2 1/2" in length and weighs 2.4 grams.  The winged serpent is  5/8" tall and  7/16" wide.
