Lucky at Horseshoes?!?
This beautiful Victorian locket features two interlocking horseshoes (strangely reminiscent of the Chanel logo) set with calibre-cut angle skin coral and rose-cut diamonds.   Crafted in 18kt yellow gold, this locket is in exceptional condition.   It can be worn with a wide variety of antique and modern gold chains.

Measurements:   This 18kt gold locket is 1.3" high and 1.1" wide.   The loop bail adds another 0.5" in height.

The inside of the locket has a glazed compartment on one side and an open compartment on the other.   In this open view you can see the exceptional quality and condition of the piece,  as well as the sturdiness of its hinge.

The back of the locket shows several small scratches created by over 100 years of wear.   A quick turn on our goldsmith's buffing wheel would bring back the locket's original high luster.   However, many of our clients prefer antique jewelry with an unrestored finish, so we have not had the back polished.   If you would like the locket to be polished, we can provide that service....just ask.
