Mid Century Pearl BroochPearls in the Breeze |
A striking brooch with windblown leaves (or are they wisps of smoke) anchored by three luminous pearls. The beautifully sculpted, finely textured form reflects elements of Art Nouveau design, especially in the whiplash curves, and mid-century studio jewelry. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1950.
The fine craftsmanship with which this brooch was created is evident on the back. Note the sturdy edges that frame the brooch and the settings cradling the pearls. A strong pin stem and "C" clasp secure the brooch when worn.
The "C" clasp is stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold. To the left of the gold mark is an unidentified maker's mark - perhaps a dove in flight. Name: Pearls in the Breeze
