Hans Brassler Coral Brooch

Brassler coral brooch. (J9274)

Elegant Coral

A glowing coral cabochon rests amid an elegant geometry of neoclassical and Asian motifs with a hint of early Art Deco.  This dramatic brooch was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold about 1910.

The reverse of the brooch is as finely crafted as the front.  Note the sturdy framework that protects the coral and the strong pin stem and clasp which secures the jewel when worn.  The backs of Hans Brassler's jewels are beautifully finished and almost always as intriguing as the fronts.
