Brassler Coral

An arresting coral cabochon glows amid an intriguing geometry of neoclassical and east Asian motifs.  A wonderful early Art Deco brooch created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold, circa 1910.

The reverse of the brooch is as finely crafted as the front.  Note the sturdy framework that protects the coral and the strong pin stem and sturdy safety clasp which secures the brooch when worn.  The backs of Hans Brassler's jewels are almost as beautiful as the fronts and always worth a second look.
