Lucere-cut and Fancy Blue Diamonds

Recently we custom created a ring for a couple featuring a striking Fancy Intense Blue diamond. We had so much fun with the project that we decided to create another ring with blue diamonds.
We chose a Lucere-cut diamond as the center stone. This newer diamond cut combines the elegance of a step-cut crown with the sparkle of a brilliant-cut pavilion. To complement this striking center stone we selected two natural Fancy Blue trilliant diamonds. The blue trilliants add just the right touch of color. |

 We handcrafted a ring in platinum to complement the cool tones of the blue diamonds and the sparkle of the center stone. The band is fashioned from half round platinum wire that narrows as it sweeps upward to meet the trilliant diamonds.
 The diamonds are set in sturdy platinum prongs. The prongs are slightly tapered as they descend from the diamonds to the under gallery, creating an elegant, but sturdy, setting. The center Lucere diamond sits slightly above the blue trilliants so that the ring curves gracefully across the top of your finger with no unsightly gaps between the gemstones! Also, note the thickness of the band - this ring was made to become an heirloom that will be passed from generation to generation. |
 The underside of this exceptional ring is finished as nicely as the top. Notice the smooth, even cut-out beneath the center diamond, the seamless joints between settings and the band, and the smooth finish of the hidden surfaces. At Bijoux Extraordinaire our philosophy is that fine jewels should be finished as nicely underneath as they are on top! |

| The Lucere-cut diamond weighs 0.58 carat. It has D color and VS1 clarity. The two Fancy Blue trilliant diamonds weigh a total of 0.18 carats and have VVS clarity. The ring fits finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
