Elegant Pinstripe Cufflinks
| The elegance of finely engraved pinstripes and
bright bands of gold framed in Art Deco elongated
octagons. These cufflinks attest to the beauty of the
understated designs and impeccable craftsmanship of Carrington
& Company. Created in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of these cufflinks are as beautifully crafted as the fronts. Carrington & Company's attention to small details can be seen in the evenness of the finish and the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure these links on the cuff.
The Carrington maker's mark (an angular "C" enclosing "14") is stamped on the reverse of the cufflinks below the brackets. In the late 1890s Charles Lewis Carrington founded the firm which created some of the finest cufflinks and dress sets of the 20th century. The firm's gold and platinum accessories were retailed at Tiffany & Co. and other carriage-trade jewelers of the day.
