Art Deco Diamond Cufflinks

Richly engraved oval centers surrounded by Art
Deco borders of stylized roses and geometric motifs. On
one side, a small, sparkling diamond rests in a tiered,
eight-sided setting. Fine millegraining along the edges
adds a further touch of elegance. Created in 14kt white gold
circa 1920. The backs of these cufflinks are as well-crafted as the fronts. The mirror-like white gold surfaces are polished to a bright finish - please excuse the shadowy reflections of my camera. Also, note the sturdy crossbars, jump rings and trifid (three toed) brackets that secure the cufflinks on the cuff.  The cross bars are stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold. Although there is no maker's mark the design of the cufflinks and the three-toed brackets suggest the cufflinks were created by Charles Keller & Company. Charles Keller & Co. created fine cufflinks and other jewels in platinum and gold from the late 1800s into the early Art Deco period.
