Art Deco Diamond Cufflinks
|Intricately engraved cufflinks with richly
detailed abstractions and geometric meanders. The
mesmerizing, maze-like beauty of the design is thrown into high
relief by the depth and precision of the craftsmanship. A
small diamond is set on one side for a final touch of
elegance. Created in 14kt white gold, circa
The cufflinks are well crafted with sturdy brackets and crossbars to secure the cufflinks on the cuff. The backs have a mirror-like finish and clean, crisp edges. (Please excuse the shadowy reflections from the camera.)
The cross bars are stamped with a gold purity mark ("14K") and the maker's mark of L. Fritzsche & Company (an "F" inside an banner-shape cartouche). Lebrecht Fritzsche was a noted jewelry designer and engraver who created fine cufflinks and other jewels during the early decades of the 20th century.
