Art Deco Enamel Cufflinks
Black and Gold
|Dramatic black enamel borders surround finely
engraved centers with intricate entwined circles and geometric
figures. The starkness of the enamel borders and
mesmerizing intricacy of the engraved designs play off
beautifully. Created by Kohn and Co. in
14kt gold, circa 1925.
These finely constructed cufflinks are secured on the cuff with sturdy brackets and strong cross bars. The backs are polished to a smooth, mirror-like finish. Please excuse any shadowy reflections from the camera.
The maker's mark of Kohn & Company - a cone lying on its side above "14K" - is stamped on the cross bars. Kohn & Co. was a maker of fine cufflinks and other jewels during the early decades of the 20th century.
