Art Deco Sapphire CufflinksElegant Sapphires |
Finely engraved cufflinks with French-cut
man-made sapphires set on one side. These cufflinks are an
elegant example of the richly detailed, jazzy cufflinks favored
in the early years of the Art Deco period. The deep blue
sapphires add an elegant touch of contrast and colorful
pizzazz. Created by Frank Krementz in 14kt white and
yellow gold, circa 1920.
The backs of the cufflinks are crafted in 14kt yellow gold polished to a mirror-like finish. Sturdy cross bars and triple-loop brackets connect the two ends of the cufflinks. (Please excuse the dark reflections of the camera.)
The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of Frank Krementz Company, a reversed "F" adjoining a "K". Frank Krementz was a maker of finely crafted, intricately detailed cufflinks during the early decades of the 20th century. To the left of the maker's mark "14" is stamped for the purity of the gold. Name: Elegant Sapphires
