 Sansbury & Nellis was founded in the years around 1900 and was known for creating elegant cufflinks and tuxedo sets featuring beautiful gemstones. The firm often worked with less common gemstones like white coral and the many beautiful varieties of quartz including moss agate, carnelian and heliotrope.
 The backs of the shirt studs are stamped with the maker's mark of Sansbury & Nellis ("S-N") and "14K" for the purity of the gold. The backs of the cufflinks are also stamped with the "14K" gold purity mark.
