Sapphire Lunar Elegance |
An irresistibly blue sapphire requires a special
ring. We selected two crescent-shaped diamonds as side
stones and set the sparkling trilogy of gemstones in a graceful
enclosing bezel. The ring is hand engraved and hand
crafted in platinum. The platinum ring is beautifully engraved with a classic chevron pattern. The hand engraved design flows along the outer surfaces of the band. For an added touch of elegance, we milgrained the edges of the band with a fine bead-like pattern.  The shoulders of the ring taper as they rise upward and then split to create the bezel setting. The walls of the bezel are hand engraved with a luxuriant foliate pattern that complements the chevron pattern on the band. |

 The center oval sapphire is a vibrant, rich blue. It weighs 2.49 carats. The two crescent-moon diamonds weigh a total of 0.61 carats. The two diamonds are D-E color and VS2 clarity. The shape and brilliance of the gemstones perfectly complement one another.  Examining the inside of the ring you can see the sturdy bezel walls that protect the sapphire and diamonds. Note the smooth, brightly polished undersurfaces of the ring. At the base of the ring we bead set a small diamond. The sign of a master craftsman is the care taken with the small details and the hidden parts of a ring. |
