The colorful pizzazz and cool geometry of the
Art Deco era inspired this handcrafted platinum ring. The center
stone is a 2.80-carat vibrant pink sapphire set between stepped
tiers of graduated baguette-cut diamonds. The word "sapphire" brings to mind beautiful blue gemstones that sparkle with the cerulean splendor of a summer sky. But sapphires are not just for the blues! This versatile gemstone can be found in a rainbow of colors including hot pink, forest green and daffodil yellow.  The pink sapphire rests in a platinum galleried setting and is securely held by four prongs. Beneath the sapphire the baguette diamonds are set in stepped platinum bezels creating an elegant cascade of sparkling gemstones. Because our rings are hand crafted, we can set each gemstone in the perfect position and angle to create a stunning visual effect.  The platinum band of the ring rises to meet the lower baguette diamonds and continue the tiered, cascading arrangement of the gemstones. The band has a consistent squarish profile throughout its circumference adding to the strong geometric lines of the jewel. The goal was to create a ring that would bring to mind on a small scale the masterpieces of Art Deco architecture and sculpture. |
 Looking inside the ring you can see the sturdiness of the design and the care with which it was crafted. Note the cut-outs beneath each gemstone and the symmetrical, smooth edges of the under gallery. Our philosophy is that a fine jewel should not only be beautiful on the outside, but on the inside as well.  As with all our custom created jewels, this ring proudly displays our registered maker's mark for Bijoux Extraordinaire ("BEL"), as well a precious metal stamp for the purity of the platinum ("PLAT"). | This striking ring is handcrafted in platinum. The vivid pink sapphire weighs 2.80 carats and measures 9.8 by 6.5 millimeters. The four baguette diamonds weigh a total of 0.98 carats. The diamonds are E-G color and VS1-2 clarity. The ring is finger size 6 1/2 and can be resized to fit most fingers. | ||
