Art Deco Diamond Cufflinks
Art Deco Elegance II
| Finely sculpted Art Deco cufflinks that dance
with the sophisticated elegance and dazzle of a set in a Busby
Berkeley musical. The quatrefoil centers are engraved with
wavy zigzag lines and surrounded by tiered borders with fluted
"epaulets" cascading downward like miniature waterfalls.
Millgrained edges and a small diamond set on one side add a
final touch of elegant sparkle. Crafted in 14kt
gold, circa 1930.
The backs of these cufflinks are as finely designed as the fronts. Note the thickness of the edges and the sturdy brackets and cross bars that secure the cufflinks on the cuff. These cufflinks were crafted to survive the next 100 years as beautifully as they survived the last.
The cross bars are stamped with the maker's mark of Taylor & Company - a draughtman's "T" surrounded by "14" and "K". Taylor & Company was founded by John Taylor in the late 1800s and created finely crafted, beautifully designed cufflinks and other jewels into the 1930s.
