Art Nouveau Pearl StickpinArt Nouveau Elegance |
The engaging simplicity of an elegant Art Nouveau
stickpin set with a pearl. This jewel brings to mind the
elaborate headdresses and hair ornaments imagined in the posters
and artwork of Alphonse Mucha. Created by Whiteside &
Blank in 14kt gold, circa 1900.
Whiteside & Blank was an innovative jeweler that in the late 1800s and early 1900s crafted some of the finest stickpins, cufflinks and brooches of the period. The firm was known for its beautiful designs, meticulous goldwork and fine gemstones. The maker's mark of Whiteside & Blank (an arrow piercing a crescent) is stamped behind the pin stem along with "14" for the purity of the gold. Cost: $435 |
