Regally Elegant Citrine Stickpin

Hans Brassler citrine stickpin. (SP9634)

Medieval Citrine

A faceted citrine with rich shades of orange is set in a gold frame accented with regal medieval/heraldic devices and a hint of Art Nouveau.  This elegantly eclectic stickpin was created by Hans Brassler in 14kt gold circa 1910.

The design of the front is echoed on the reverse in low relief engraving - a nice touch found on some of Brassler's finer jewels. (see photo below)

Hans Brassler was an imaginative goldsmith, jewelry designer and artist who in the early 1900s created miniature works of art with precious metals and gemstones. He found inspiration for his creations in a wide variety of sources - distant and ancient cultures, natural and organic elements and, of course, his own fertile imagination.  The Brassler maker's mark ("14B" inside a double oval) is stamped on the lower reverse of the stickpin behind the pin stem.

Cost:  $485

Measurements:  This 14kt gold stickpin is 2 3/8" long and the top measures 11/16" tall by 1/2" wide.  It weighs 1.9 grams.
