Antique Gold and Enamel Cufflinks

Huger enamel and 14kt gold cufflinks. (J7512)

Blue Fireworks!

Incredible gold cufflinks with sumptuous blue enamel centers reminiscent of cool blue fireworks bursting in a night sky.  The rich effect of the translucent enamel and engine-turned design is known as guilloche enameling.  Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1920.

The backs of the cufflinks are as well crafted as the fronts.  Note the sturdy cross bars and brackets that secure the links and the mirror-like finish of the surfaces.

The cufflinks are stamped with the precious metal mark ("14" for 14kt gold) and the maker's mark.  The makers mark (an "H" with curling sides) is for William Huger & Company,  a maker of fine cufflinks and other jewels during the early decades of the 1900s.
