Gold and Diamond CufflinksDeco Diamonds! |
Art Deco white gold cufflinks with stylized floral and cruciform motifs above an engraved field of concentric circles. The edges are embellished with elongated Greek key designs and flaming scrolls or acanthus leaves in the corners. One side is set with a small diamond. A dramatic example of the intricate Art Deco design. Crafted in 14kt gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are well crafted in 14kt gold and polished to a mirror-like finish. Please excuse the shadowy reflections from the camera. Sturdy yellow gold cross bars and brackets secure the cufflinks on the cuff. The cross bars are stamped "14K" for the purity of the gold. To the right of the gold mark is a reversed "R" next to a "B". This is the maker's mark of the Basset Jewelry Company, a maker of fine gold cufflinks and other jewels located in Newark, New Jersey during the early 20th century. Name: Deco Diamonds!
