held in the graceful, sweeping prongs of an elegant trellis
ring. The ring is hand crafted in 18kt yellow gold and
platinum.
The striking Red Spinel is a vibrant red hue and weighs just over two carats. It is a chubby, rounded oval - a shape we like to call a "roval." The Spinel is accented with two well-cut oval diamonds. We hand crafted this ring to create the perfect setting for these beautiful gemstones. |
 Trellis rings get their name from the graceful, sweeping curve of the prongs as they criss-cross and cradle the gemstones. We like to imagine the flowing prongs as an elegant garden trellis. From above, a trellis ring looks like a traditional three-stone ring, but from the side you see what makes this style of ring so distinctive!  To complement the graceful flow of the prongs, we crafted the ring's shank from two 18kt gold bands. This gives the band an elegant "double rib" effect and keeps the band from appearing bulky. The shoulders of the ring narrow as they sweep upward to meet the platinum trellis setting.  The inside of the ring is finished as nicely as the top. Note the polished, smooth inner surfaces, the sturdy base supporting the prongs, and the crisp symmetrical opening beneath the Red Spinel. It is the small details in a jewel that show a master jeweler's talent!  As with all the jewels we create, this ring displays Bijoux Extraordinaire's registered hallmark ("BEL"). The precious metal marks for 18kt gold ("18K") and platinum ("PLAT") are stamped on the opposite inside wall of the band. These hallmarks are your assurance of exceptional design, craftsmanship and beauty.  We created a matching band set with seven round brilliant diamonds. The handcrafted band is curved to follow the contour of the Red Spinel ring. |

| The oval Red Spinel weighs just over two carats and measures 8.5 by 7.2 millimeters. The two oval diamonds weigh a total of 0.93 carats. The diamonds are G color and SI1 clarity. | ||
