Jazzy Art Deco CufflinksJungle Dreams |
Intricately engraved centers glisten like
finely spun spider webs amid a tangled jungle of palm fronds and
stylized foliage. These striking cufflinks reflect the
Jazz Age fascination with distant cultures and exotic
places. Created by Ziething & Co. in 10kt yellow and
white gold, circa 1925.
The backs of the cufflinks are crafted in 10kt yellow gold and polished to a smooth, mirror-like finish. Secured on the cuff with bow-shaped cross bars and sturdy tube brackets, these cufflinks were carefully crafted to be enjoyed in the present and then be passed down through the decades from one generation to the next.
The maker, Ziething & Company, was known for creating bright, intricately engraved cufflinks that epitomized the jazzy elegance of the Art Deco era. The Ziething maker's mark (a "Z" in a lozenge-shaped cartouche) is stamped on one side of the cross bars. The opposite side is marked "10K" for the purity of the gold.
